Rashana Smith is one of the few dancers you will meet who is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Texas, she moved to Seattle to continue dancing. Influenced by Seattle's vast technology offerings, Rashana was intrigued by the challanges of networks and pursued an MCSE title.

Somehow, she found time for both careers. Rashana has worked with choreographers Heywood "Woody" McGriff, Llory Wilson, Susan Marshall, Kathy Dunn Hamrick, Megan Lyle, A.C. Peterson, and Sheri Cohen. She was a founding member of the Tom Truss Dance Company as well as a member of Dixie Fun Dance Theatre in Seattle. Presently she is teaching at Contemporary Dance Techniques in Tyler, Texas, choregraphing and dancing for Tyer & Company Dance and collaborating with Krisen Day in their co-directed alliance, Motor Dance.
